Ordering & Creating Custom Products
What can I create at Eye Popping Art?
You can create custom wall art and personalized photo gifts using your own photos, artwork, logos, designs, or digital images. Popular options include canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, photo prints, custom pillows, photo blankets, personalized drinkware, coasters, glass cutting boards, and linen placemats.
How do I create a custom product?
Choose the product you want, select your size and options, upload your image, open the designer, crop or position your design, preview it, and add it to your cart. The designer helps you see how your image will look before ordering.
Can I upload my own photo?
Yes. Most custom products allow you to upload your own photo, artwork, logo, or design. After uploading, you can crop and position the image before adding the product to your cart.
Can I preview my design before ordering?
Yes. Our custom designer lets you preview your image on many products before checkout. The preview is meant to help with layout and positioning. Final color, texture, and finish may vary slightly based on the material you choose.
What products are best for custom wall art?
For wall art, popular choices include canvas prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, framed and unframed photo prints, hanging canvas prints, and peel-and-stick prints. Canvas gives a warm textured look, metal gives bold color and modern durability, and acrylic gives a glossy gallery-style appearance with depth and clarity.
What products are best for personalized gifts?
Popular personalized gifts include custom pillows, photo blankets, drinkware, coasters, glass cutting boards, linen placemats, and framed prints. These make great gifts for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, housewarmings, pet memorials, family photos, and vacation memories.
Do I need design experience to create something?
No. You do not need design experience. Simply upload your image, position it inside the crop area, preview your design, and order. For best results, use a clear high-resolution image with the main subject away from the edges.
Uploading Photos & Image Quality
What image file types can I upload?
For best results, upload JPG, PNG, or WebP images. If you have a HEIC photo from an iPhone and it does not upload correctly, convert it to JPG before ordering.
What photo quality do I need for a custom print?
Use the highest-resolution version of your image available. Original camera or phone files usually work better than screenshots, social media downloads, or images copied from text messages.
How do I know if my photo is high enough quality?
A good photo should look clear when viewed full size on your computer or phone. If it already looks blurry, pixelated, dark, or grainy before uploading, it may print that way too. For large wall art, sharp original files produce the best results.
Are screenshots good enough for printing?
Screenshots are usually not recommended for large prints because they are often lower resolution than the original image. Use the original photo or artwork file whenever possible.
Can a blurry photo be fixed?
A slightly soft photo may still look acceptable on some textured products like canvas, but a very blurry or pixelated photo cannot always be fixed. Start with the clearest original file you have.
Why does my image crop differently on different products?
Each product and size has a different shape. A square pillow, panoramic metal print, vertical canvas, and drinkware wrap all use different layout areas. The designer helps you crop and position your image for the product you selected.
Should I keep important faces or text away from the edges?
Yes. Keep faces, names, logos, dates, and important details away from the outer edges of the crop area. Some products wrap, fold, mount, trim, or curve near the edges, so extra breathing room helps protect important details.
Can I upload a logo?
Yes. Logos can work well on drinkware, cutting boards, coasters, placemats, metal prints, acrylic prints, and framed prints. Use a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background when possible.
Canvas Prints
What is a canvas print?
A canvas print is an image printed on canvas material and displayed as wall art. Depending on the option you choose, canvas can be stretched around wooden bars, framed in a floating frame, or shipped rolled so you can frame or stretch it later. Create a custom canvas print.
Are canvas prints good for photos?
Yes. Canvas prints are popular for family photos, wedding photos, pet portraits, landscapes, travel photos, artwork, and home décor. The canvas texture gives photos a softer, warmer, more artistic look.
What is a gallery-wrapped canvas?
A gallery-wrapped canvas is stretched around wooden stretcher bars so the image or selected edge style continues around the sides. It arrives ready to hang and does not require a traditional frame.
What is the difference between stretched canvas and rolled canvas?
Stretched canvas arrives mounted on stretcher bars and ready to display. Rolled canvas is printed canvas shipped without stretcher bars, giving you the flexibility to frame, stretch, or mount it locally.
What is a canvas floating frame?
A canvas floating frame surrounds the stretched canvas with a small gap, creating a finished gallery-style presentation. It gives the canvas a framed look while still showing the depth of the stretched print.
Should I choose canvas, metal, or acrylic?
Choose canvas if you want a warm, textured, classic wall-art look. Choose metal prints if you want bold color, sharp detail, and a modern durable surface. Choose acrylic prints if you want a glossy, gallery-style look with added depth and shine.
Metal Prints
What is a metal print?
A metal print is wall art produced on a metal panel, often aluminum, with a sleek modern surface. Metal prints are known for sharp detail, bold color, durability, and a clean frameless look. Create a custom metal print.
Are metal photo prints worth it?
Metal photo prints are worth considering if you want vibrant color, crisp detail, and a modern display that stands out. They are especially popular for landscapes, ocean scenes, wildlife, cars, sports, travel photos, and bold artwork.
Are metal prints better than canvas?
Metal and canvas have different looks. Metal prints are more modern, vibrant, and sleek. Canvas prints are warmer, softer, and more traditional. The best choice depends on your room, image, and style.
Are metal prints better than acrylic prints?
Metal prints are sleek, durable, and vivid. Acrylic prints have a glossy glass-like appearance with depth and shine. Metal is great for a bold modern look, while acrylic feels more like high-gloss gallery décor.
Are metal prints ready to hang?
Most metal prints are designed to arrive with a hanging or mounting system, depending on the size and product option.
What rooms are metal prints good for?
Metal prints work well in living rooms, offices, kitchens, game rooms, modern interiors, coastal spaces, gyms, and gallery walls.
What are metal prints also called?
Metal prints are often called aluminum prints, aluminum photo prints, metal photo prints, HD metal prints, or dye-sublimation metal prints.
Acrylic Prints
What is an acrylic print?
An acrylic print is a photo or artwork display with a glossy acrylic surface that adds depth, clarity, and a polished gallery look. Acrylic prints are popular for modern wall art and high-impact photo displays. Create a custom acrylic print.
Are acrylic prints good?
Yes. Acrylic prints are a strong choice when you want a glossy, modern, high-end look with rich color and depth. They are especially good for colorful photos, ocean images, landscapes, travel photos, cityscapes, and bold artwork.
Are acrylic prints better than canvas?
Acrylic and canvas create very different looks. Acrylic is glossy, sleek, and modern with a sense of depth. Canvas is textured, softer, and more traditional. Choose acrylic for a polished gallery look and canvas for a warmer art feel.
Do acrylic prints look like glass?
Acrylic prints can have a glass-like glossy appearance, but acrylic is not the same as glass. Acrylic is commonly used for modern photo displays because it enhances clarity, shine, and depth.
What photos look best on acrylic?
Bright, colorful, high-resolution images usually look best on acrylic. Landscapes, beach scenes, underwater photos, cityscapes, colorful artwork, and high-contrast photography are all good choices.
How do I clean an acrylic print?
Use a soft microfiber cloth and gentle cleaning methods. Avoid abrasive materials, ammonia, alcohol, and harsh cleaners that may damage the acrylic surface.
Framed & Unframed Photo Prints
What is the difference between a photo print and an art print?
A photo print is usually made to showcase photography with strong color and detail. An art print may use archival paper, matte finishes, or fine art-style paper for illustrations, artwork, designs, and gallery-style presentation. Shop framed and unframed photo prints.
Should I choose framed or unframed prints?
Choose framed prints if you want a finished, ready-to-hang presentation. Choose unframed prints if you want flexibility to frame them yourself, use your own frame style, or store them flat until you are ready to display them.
What is the difference between satin, semi-gloss, matte, and fine art paper?
Satin and semi-gloss papers have more sheen and can make color and contrast pop. Matte paper reduces glare and creates a softer look. Fine art paper has a more premium, archival-style feel with a refined matte finish.
Is matte or glossy better for photo prints?
Glossy or semi-gloss finishes can make color and contrast look more vivid. Matte finishes reduce glare and fingerprints and can feel more elegant or artistic. The best choice depends on your photo and where it will be displayed.
What is fine art paper best for?
Fine art paper is ideal for artwork, portraits, illustrations, black and white images, gallery-style prints, and images where a premium matte look is preferred.
What is a white border or faux mat?
A white border or faux mat creates space around the image, giving the print a more gallery-style presentation. It can help the artwork feel more polished and can make framing easier.
Hanging Canvas Prints
What is a hanging canvas print?
A hanging canvas print is canvas wall art displayed with wooden hanging rails instead of a traditional stretched frame. It creates a lightweight, modern, casual presentation. Create a hanging canvas print.
How is hanging canvas different from stretched canvas?
Stretched canvas is pulled around wooden bars and has depth. Hanging canvas hangs flatter from wooden rails, giving it a lighter scroll-style look.
Are hanging canvas prints ready to hang?
Yes. Hanging canvas prints are designed to be easy to display with wooden rails that create a simple ready-to-hang wall décor style.
What photos look best on hanging canvas?
Hanging canvas works well for artwork, landscapes, quotes, family photos, boho décor, nursery art, dorm rooms, and casual wall displays.
Peel & Stick Prints / Wallpaper
What are peel-and-stick prints?
Peel-and-stick prints are removable wall décor pieces that can be applied directly to smooth walls or surfaces. They are a good choice for temporary décor, renters, dorms, offices, kids’ rooms, and creative spaces. Create peel-and-stick prints or wallpaper.
Is peel-and-stick wallpaper removable?
Peel-and-stick products are designed to be removable and repositionable, depending on the wall surface and application conditions.
What surfaces work best for peel-and-stick prints?
Smooth, clean, dry surfaces work best. Avoid heavily textured walls, dusty surfaces, freshly painted walls that have not cured, or surfaces with moisture problems.
Can I use my own photo for peel-and-stick wall décor?
Yes. You can use your own image, artwork, design, or photo to create custom peel-and-stick wall décor.
Custom Photo Gifts
What are personalized photo gifts?
Personalized photo gifts are useful or decorative products customized with your own photos, artwork, names, dates, designs, or logos. Examples include photo blankets, pillows, drinkware, coasters, cutting boards, and placemats.
What are the best custom photo gifts?
Popular custom photo gifts include blankets, pillows, water bottles, tumblers, coasters, cutting boards, framed prints, and canvas prints. The best gift depends on the person and occasion.
What personalized gifts are good for family?
Family photo blankets, custom pillows, framed prints, canvas prints, coasters, and drinkware are great family gifts. They work especially well for grandparents, parents, weddings, anniversaries, and holidays.
What personalized gifts are good for pet owners?
Pet portraits work beautifully on canvas prints, pillows, blankets, drinkware, coasters, and framed prints. A clear photo of the pet usually gives the best result.
What personalized gifts are good for housewarming?
Custom cutting boards, linen placemats, coasters, framed prints, canvas prints, and drinkware make practical and decorative housewarming gifts.
Custom Pillows
What is a custom photo pillow?
A custom photo pillow is a decorative pillow printed with your own photo, artwork, logo, or design. It can be used for home décor, gifts, memorial pillows, pet pillows, vacation memories, and family photos. Create custom pillows.
Can I put a photo on a pillow?
Yes. You can upload your photo and create a personalized pillow using available fabric and size options.
What pillow fabrics are available?
Eye Popping Art offers custom pillows in fabric options such as canvas, faux suede, and linen. Each fabric has a different look and feel, so you can choose the style that fits your room or gift.
Are custom pillows single-sided or double-sided?
Some pillow options may allow single-sided or double-sided printing. If available, you can choose whether to print one side, use the same image on both sides, or use different images for the front and back.
What photos work best on pillows?
Clear portraits, pet photos, family pictures, vacation images, artwork, and bold designs work well. Keep important faces and text away from the edge because pillows have seams and soft edges.
Are photo pillows good gifts?
Yes. Photo pillows are thoughtful gifts for parents, grandparents, couples, pet owners, new homeowners, memorial gifts, and holiday gifts.
Custom Photo Blankets
What is a custom photo blanket?
A custom photo blanket is a soft blanket printed with your photo, artwork, collage, or design. It combines comfort with a personal keepsake, making it popular for gifts and home décor. Create a photo blanket.
Are photo blankets good gifts?
Yes. Photo blankets are popular gifts for family, grandparents, weddings, anniversaries, pets, memorials, holidays, birthdays, and graduation.
What is the difference between fleece and sherpa blankets?
Fleece is soft, smooth, and lightweight to medium-weight. Sherpa has a plush, fluffy backing and feels warmer and cozier. Choose fleece for everyday softness and sherpa for extra warmth.
Can I use one photo on a blanket?
Yes. One strong, high-resolution image can make a beautiful blanket. Use a clear photo with the main subject centered for best results.
Can I use multiple photos on a blanket?
Yes, if the design option allows it or if you upload a finished collage. Make sure the collage is high enough resolution so each photo prints clearly.
Custom Drinkware
What is custom drinkware?
Custom drinkware includes water bottles, tumblers, flasks, and bottles printed with your own photo, artwork, logo, or design. Create custom drinkware.
Can I put a photo on a water bottle?
Yes. You can upload a photo or design and create personalized drinkware with full-color printing.
What does 360° wrap printing mean?
A 360° wrap means the design wraps around the drinkware instead of appearing only on one small front area. Because bottles are round, the full design is viewed as the bottle is turned.
Will my whole design be visible at once on a bottle?
No. On round drinkware, only part of the wrap is visible from one angle. Important faces, names, logos, or text should be placed where they will be most visible in the main viewing area.
What images work best for custom drinkware?
Bold photos, logos, patterns, artwork, pet photos, sports images, vacation pictures, and designs with strong contrast work well. Avoid tiny text or very thin lines because they may be harder to read on a curved surface.
Is custom drinkware dishwasher safe?
Care depends on the specific product. To help preserve the print, hand washing is often the safest option unless the product page says otherwise.
Custom Coasters
What are custom photo coasters?
Custom photo coasters are drink coasters personalized with your photos, artwork, logo, or design. They are both useful and decorative. Create custom coasters.
Can I put different photos on each coaster?
Depending on the coaster product options, you may be able to create a set with multiple different images or use the same image across the set.
Are photo coasters good gifts?
Yes. Photo coasters make great gifts for weddings, housewarmings, anniversaries, family gifts, pet lovers, office gifts, and vacation memories.
What photos work best on coasters?
Simple, clear images work best because coasters are smaller than wall art. Pet photos, family photos, landscapes, logos, patterns, and artwork can all work well.
Can I put text on coasters?
Yes, but keep text large and easy to read. Small thin text may be harder to see on a coaster.
Custom Glass Cutting Boards
Can you put a photo on a glass cutting board?
Yes. You can create a custom glass cutting board with your own photo, recipe, artwork, logo, or design. The image creates a personalized kitchen piece that can be decorative, practical, or giftable. Create a custom glass cutting board.
Are custom glass cutting boards good gifts?
Yes. Personalized glass cutting boards are popular for weddings, housewarmings, anniversaries, family recipes, memorial gifts, business branding, and kitchen décor.
Can I put a family recipe on a cutting board?
Yes. Recipe designs are a great choice for custom cutting boards. For best results, use a clear scan or high-resolution photo of the recipe, or create a clean digital design.
Are glass cutting boards decorative or functional?
Glass cutting boards can be both decorative and functional, but many people use custom printed cutting boards as display pieces, serving boards, or light kitchen-use items to preserve the printed design and keep knives sharper.
Will a glass cutting board dull knives?
Glass is harder than wood or plastic and may dull knives faster with heavy cutting. If knife edge protection is important, use the custom glass cutting board more for serving, display, or light prep.

Care & Display
How should I clean wall art?
Use a soft dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, rough scrubbers, and excessive moisture unless the product page says otherwise.
Can I hang prints in direct sunlight?
Avoid long-term direct sunlight when possible. Even high-quality prints can fade faster in strong UV exposure. Choose a location with indirect light for best longevity.
Can I hang prints in a bathroom or kitchen?
Some materials, especially metal prints, may be better suited for moisture-prone areas than paper or canvas. Avoid placing any print where it will be exposed to direct water, steam, grease, or extreme humidity unless the product is specifically intended for that environment.
How do I choose the right print size?
Measure your wall and consider the furniture below it. A small print may look lost on a large wall, while a large print can become a focal point. For sofas, beds, and dining areas, choose a size that feels balanced with the furniture width.
Should I choose vertical, horizontal, square, or panoramic?
Match the print shape to both your image and wall space. Vertical prints work well in narrow spaces, horizontal prints work well above sofas and beds, square prints are versatile, and panoramic prints are ideal for landscapes, ocean scenes, cityscapes, and wide wall spaces.
What if I am not sure which product to choose?
Start with the look you want. Choose canvas for warmth and texture, metal for bold modern color, acrylic for glossy depth, framed prints for a polished classic look, and photo gifts when you want something personal and useful.
